Overview 

The Explorer 1 was introduced in 1950s whereby there was a need for a simple three hand sports watch - which coincided with the expedition with a famous expedition to Mount Everest in 1953.

The Explorer 1 was built to be robust, simple and timeless - whereby it would not look out of place in any environment. It could be worn while on adventure, on a beach or even in a boardroom.

The reference 214270 is the previous generation Explorer 1. Introduced since 2010. The latest model has a larger 39mm diameter case. This version of the 214270 is now discontinued. The reference 214270 was discontinued in 2021. The new Explorer 1 has reverted back to the original 36mm size.
