The Cartier Santos 100 was introduced in 2004 to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of Louis Cartier's wristwatch for his friend Santos-Dumont.
The Santos 100 was a very popular collection which featured a number of variants which featured it signature case design. Of all the variants, the Santos 100 Large was the most popular one.
This reference of the Cartier Santos 100 was later discontinued in 2017. Cartier then released the new Santos de Cartier in 2018.
