Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Everose Gold - Black 126505

Overview 

The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona reference 126505 is a different object from the steel Daytona. The chronograph function — the reason the Daytona exists — is secondary here. What the 126505 is primarily about is the material: Everose gold, Rolex's proprietary rose gold alloy with a platinum addition that prevents the colour from shifting over time.

The 40mm case is Everose throughout. The black dial runs contrasting Sundust sub-dials — a reverse-panda layout that creates depth against the warm gold case. Markers and hands are 18k Everose gold. The tachymeter bezel is polished Everose, a construction exclusive to solid precious metal Daytonas. The overall effect is high-contrast and deliberate.

The movement is the Calibre 4131, Rolex's current-generation automatic chronograph. Chronergy escapement, blue Parachrom hairspring, 70-hour power reserve, Superlative Chronometer certification to ±2 seconds per day.

The bracelet is solid Everose Oyster with polished centre links, Oysterlock clasp, and Easylink extension. Brand new, unworn, with box and papers dated March 2026, at RM219,500 against retail of RM244,200. The solid gold Daytona holds its value differently from steel — demand is driven by material and rarity, not allocation pressure.
