Tudor Black Bay 58 GMT Bracelet 39mm 7939G1A0NRU
Overview
Tudor's Black Bay GMT had run at 41mm since 2018. The 7939G1A0NRU moved that function into the 39mm Black Bay 58 case in 2024 — a correction for buyers who wanted the complication but found the larger format too much wrist for daily use. The 39mm case changes nothing about how the GMT works. It changes who the watch fits.
The case is 39mm stainless steel with the BB58's domed bezel and short lug geometry, on the rivet-style stainless bracelet. The bi-colour bezel is red over black — the "Coke" configuration. The dial is black with gold-finished snowflake hands across all indications, including the GMT hand; the consistent warm tone against the red and black bezel reads as a deliberate colour decision, not a contrast experiment. On the wrist this sits clearly as a tool watch with colour rather than a colour watch claiming tool credentials.
The movement is Tudor's in-house automatic, Master Chronometer certified. The GMT function adjusts the local hour hand independently in one-hour increments without stopping the seconds hand.
Against the standard Black Bay 58 — M79030N in black, M79030B in blue — the 7939G1A0NRU adds a genuine GMT complication at a modest premium. Against the 41mm Black Bay GMT (M79830RB-0001), the case size is the deciding variable: same independently-adjustable GMT function, meaningfully different wearing experience. We believe RM17,000 is a rational secondary entry for this reference — it's a recent introduction with no speculative premium attached, and the pricing reflects the watch rather than its novelty. This piece is brand new, complete with box and papers dated May 2026, at RM17,000.
