Tudor Black Bay 58 Blue - 39mm 79030B Discontinued
Overview
The Tudor Black Bay 58 reference 79030B in blue has been discontinued. Tudor replaced the first-generation BB58 lineup with an updated case and bracelet construction, which closed out this specific reference in blue. A brand-new unworn example with April 2026 papers is new-old-stock — a distinction that matters differently to a buyer than a preowned piece of the same watch.
The 39mm case is the defining characteristic of the BB58 relative to the standard Black Bay — slimmer, lower on the wrist, and closer in profile to the vintage 1958 Tudor Submariner it references. The blue unidirectional bezel and sunburst blue dial operate in the same tonal register: saturated and coherent without the bluntness of the black configuration. Domed crystal and rivet-styled bracelet carry the vintage architecture throughout.
The movement is the Calibre MT5402: Tudor's manufacture automatic, COSC-certified, with a 70-hour power reserve. Water resistance is 200 metres.
The 79030B is no longer in production. Secondary supply for brand-new examples of this reference will not increase. For a buyer who wants the first-generation BB58 blue in unworn condition, this is one of the last opportunities to acquire it at a price that still reflects normal market rates rather than scarcity premiums.
