Rolex GMT Master II 126710BLNR Batman Oyster
Overview
The 126710BLNR "Batman" — blue and black Cerachrom bezel, all-steel case — has been the GMT-Master II reference benchmark since its 2019 introduction. It replaced the generation-defining 116710BLNR with upgraded movement architecture and a second bracelet option. The Oyster configuration here is the tool-watch reading of the Batman: three-link steel bracelet, no softening, purely functional.
The case is 40mm Oystersteel. The bezel is blue and black Cerachrom — the blue arc occupies the daytime 12-hour segment, the black the night arc. The dial is black with applied Mercedes hands and hour markers; the 24-hour GMT hand is blue. On the Oyster bracelet, the Batman reads as a sports watch without compromise. The mixed finishing — brushed flanks, polished bevels — plays against the polished ceramic insert without being ostentatious.
Calibre 3285, 70-hour power reserve, Chronergy escapement. The meaningful upgrade over the preceding 116710BLNR (which ran the Calibre 3186): improved energy efficiency, Parachrom hairspring, and the extended power reserve.
The Batman Oyster sits below the Batgirl Jubilee in retail and secondary pricing, making it the accessible entry into the BLNR configuration. Against the GRNR (grey/black) on the same Oyster, the blue/black carries consistently stronger secondary demand — the BLNR has been one of the most liquid steel GMT references in the current generation.
