Overview

The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona reference 126500LN arrived in 2023 as the direct successor to the 116500LN — a reference that had defined what a collectible steel sports chronograph looks like for over a decade. The 126500LN is a full re-engineering, not a refresh. The white panda configuration is the variant with the clearest visual argument within the range.

The 40mm case is 904L Oystersteel. The black Cerachrom bezel carries a tachymeter scale — scratch-resistant ceramic that holds colour permanently. The white dial runs three black sub-dials at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock: the panda layout, which references the contrast arrangement of the Daytona’s racing chronograph origins more directly than the all-black configuration. Applied Oystersteel markers and hands throughout. Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock clasp and Easylink extension.

The movement is the Calibre 4131, successor to the 4130 that powered the Daytona for over two decades. Chronergy escapement, blue Parachrom hairspring, 72-hour power reserve. Certified as a Superlative Chronometer to ±2 seconds per day.

The steel Daytona carries its value on allocation scarcity and sustained secondary demand — the gap between retail and street price on this reference has not normalised since the 126500 generation’s introduction. Brand new, unworn, complete with box and papers dated April 2026, at RM146,500.
