The Grand Seiko Heritage Hi-Beat Ginza Limited Edition is part of a limited series of watches GS makes annually to commemorate its origins - the Ginza district of Tokyo. Seiko was founded in 1881 by Kintaro Hattori - in Ginza. This year (2023) a small run of 400 pieces were made.
This new reference SBGH315 has a beautiful contrasting blue dial with a unique "Ginza grid pattern" printed transparently atop a stamped lattice design, truly a wonderful sight and a creative play of light.
The case and bracelet is familiar and based on the design to house the calibre (9S85). This automatic movement beats at 5Hz (36,000 vibrations/hour) and can store up to 55 hours of Power Reserve. The caseback features a decorated sapphire crystal - to remind us that it's something special - a Ginza Limited Edition.
This particular reference is limited production and all sold out.
