The Explorer 1 was introduced in 1950s whereby there was a need for a simple three hand sports watch - which coincided with the expedition with a famous expedition to Mount Everest in 1953.
The Explorer 1 was built to be robust, simple and timeless - whereby it would not look out of place in any environment. It could be worn while on adventure, on a beach or even in a boardroom.
The reference 224270 is the new Explorer 1 40mm. Introduced since 2023. The latest model case dimensions is now 40mm which is a brand new size for Explorer 1 range.
This particular reference is in regular production.
