Rolex Explorer 1 36mm 114270 2008 [Preowned]

Overview 

The Explorer 1 was introduced in 1950s whereby there was a need for a simple three hand sports watch - which coincided with the expedition with a famous expedition to Mount Everest in 1953.

The Explorer 1 was built to be robust, simple and timeless - whereby it would not look out of place in any environment. It could be worn while on adventure, on a beach or even in a boardroom.

Introduced in 2001, the Explorer 1 reference 114270 - which is an extension of the traditional Explorer 1 case - which is 36mm in size. This new reference comes with solid end links, no lug holes and a glossy dial with Mercedes-style hands.

This example that we have in stock - is one of the last series of the 114270 - spotting a chapter ring rehaut. Examples prior to this series would not have an engraved rehaut.

This version of the 114270 is now discontinued.
