Overview 

The Deep Sea Dweller is part of the Rolex Professional watches specialising in diving. The Deep Sea Dweller is designed with deep-sea diving in mind - with water depth rating achieving over 3900 metres. To achieve this and the ISO-6425, the Deep Sea Dweller was tested up to 4875 metres (to offer a 25% safety reserve). In order to achieve this, the watch is designed with new and enhanced features, notable a thicker domed crystal and a helium escape valve.

The Rolex Deep Sea Dweller was introduced in 2008 and a later model was introduced in 2018 to supercede it.

The reference 116660 is the previous generation of the Deep Sea Dweller model. It is now discontinued.
