Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days was introduced in 2012 as part of the historic Luminor model line-up.

The PAM00422, also known as the Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days, exemplifies the brand's commitment to combining classic elegance with modern functionality. The watch draws inspiration from Panerai's historical models, specifically the Luminor which originated in the 1950s. The PAM00422 pays homage to this era with its vintage aesthetics while incorporating contemporary features.

The PAM00422 was part of the new line-up of 47mm Luminors which included the PAM00372 (with plexiglass, instead of sapphire crystal) and PAM00423 (similar with PAM00422 but with the difference of power reserver indicator on the dial, instead of on the back).

One of the striking features of the PAM00422 is its stainless steel case, measuring 47 millimeters in diameter. The size gives the timepiece a robust and commanding presence on the wrist, reminiscent of the original Luminor watches. The dial of the PAM00422 is an elegant black, exhibiting a minimalist design that focuses on legibility. The hour markers and hands feature luminescent material, ensuring excellent visibility in various lighting conditions.

Powering the PAM00422 is a self-winding mechanical movement, the Panerai Caliber P.3000. This in-house movement is developed by Officine Panerai and provides the watch with a power reserve of up to three days, thanks to its twin barrels. The movement is meticulously crafted and can be admired through the transparent sapphire crystal case back, revealing its intricate details and finishing.
