Overview 

The Rolex Cosmograph Daytona is one of the most popular line of professional watches to celebrate Rolex's love with automotive racing. The Rolex Daytona is considered a classic and is easily one of the most recognised models by Rolex. 

The Rolex Daytona was introduced in 1955 and many references have been introduced since, with a new improved reference introduced every numbers of years.

The reference 116500 is the current Daytona. Introduced since 2016. This model supercedes the previous 116520 reference. The major difference for the new reference is the introduction of the cerachrom tachymeter bezel - which was previously only available on precious metal references.

This particular reference is now discontinued in 2023, replaced by 126500.
