Panerai Luminor Base PAM00009 PVD 44mm 2000 Discontinued [Preowned]

Overview 

Panerai Luminor Base PVD PAM00009 is part of Panerai's historic Luminor collection. This model encapsulates everything about Panerai's DNA from simplicity of its design, to its legible dial, to its ruggedness in design/build.

This particular reference the PAM00009 - is part of the collection of watches Panerai applied the PVD treatment. The idea was to have a more rugged, sporty watch which was more resistant to scratches and fingerprints. The final design is a very sporty watch - which was featured in the popular movie Rambo - as worn by Sylvester Stallone.

This particular piece is from the B-series (2nd year of production). From this series onwards, the dial was designated to be L-dial (luminescence) which was found to be more consistent, reliable and safe for the watchmaker/wearer. The PVD on this particular watch is in good condition, but shows some minor signs of wear. 

The set comes with the original warranty book, movement sticker and the original warranty card. There is included a calf strap and a rubber strap (with the rubber strap - the condition is worn). 

The watch is collectible as it's no longer in production - and as most PVD Panerais are pretty rare and rarely produced.
