The Speedmaster Moonwatch "Apollo XVII" special edition honours the December 1972 lunar expedition, which took place forty years ago. The Apollo XVII patch design is etched on the 925 silver dial of this watch. The dial features a central chronograph hand, a tiny seconds dial, and 30-, 12-, and 24-hour recorders.
The 42 mm stainless steel case holds the bezel, which has a black aluminium tachymetric ring. The bezel is displayed on a stainless steel band. The mechanical, hand-winding OMEGA calibre 1861 movement powers this chronograph.
This reference of the Moonwatch is edition limited to 1,972 pieces.
