Blancpain released the Air Command Limited Edition in 2019. It represents a tribute to the the Air Command commission by the US Air Force in 1950s. Only a dozen were made and only a few have survived till this day - which makes this particular reference a very rare grail watch.
Blancpain's modern Air Command - now a bit larger in size (42.5mm) comes with an in-house designed column-wheel controlled flyback automatic chronograph with vertical clutch. Apart from the size and movement, Blancpain has maintained most of the aesthetics of the watch as close to the original vintage.
This reference of the Air Command is a limited edition series of 500pieces.
