MING 37.05 Moonphase Series 2 - 38mm

Overview 

MING watch is an independent watch brand based here in Kuala Lumpur which has made great strides in the watchmaking industry. Founded in 2017, the young brand has garnered a huge following of fellow enthusiasts - allowing the brand to release watches which are sold out in minutes, if not seconds. 

Each MING watch is designed here in KL, but manufactured in Switzerland and regarded as Swiss Made. Each watch is well made, with much thought put to not only the design but also its practicality. The watches are usually under 40mm in size, and very wearable even for smaller or larger wrist sizes. 

The first 37.05 Moonphase was introduced in 2021. Less than two years later, Ming introduces the 37.05 Moonphase Series 2.

While it maintains the 38mm case size. There are some changes. Namingly, the anthracite brushed metal dial reveals a meteorite moonphase disk at 6 o’clock, coordinating with the date window. Tiny luminous yellow stars shine through the star-shaped apertures, matching the glowing yellow moon. The crystal also contains yellow and green printed stars, aligning with the blue luminous hands.

As the moonphase shifts, some stars periodically disappear and reappear, powered by a reworked Sellita SW288-1 movement. Skeletonized bridges are finished with matte-blasting, anthracite coating, and circular brushing for visual intrigue. Offering 40 hours of reserve, the manual-wind caliber is visible through the exhibition caseback.

The 37.05 Moonphase Series 2 was sold out upon release and no longer in production. A total of 500 pieces were made.
