Overview 

The Ochs Line Anno Calendar is part of Ochs und Junior's unique line of timepieces. This particular watch company is a braindchild of Ludwig Oechslin and Beat Weinmann. Unlike most watch companies, this particular brand's philosophy is to create watches with only essential parts (the fewer the better), and they pride on allowing their clients customization of their watches - from dials, to case material to even the shape of the crown.

This particular watch here - is the Annual Calendar - which is one of their more popular complications. The watch allows the user - to tell the date of week, date of month and month of year - all at one glance (it might take some getting used to). It promotes an analogue way of reading the time, and date - and it's very easy to get used to.

This particular example was customized to have a treated-rust dial housed in a sterling 925 silver case. The case - being in silver will grow with patina with use - in order to achieve a rugged and distressed look. It's also very easy to clean, the watch was recently cleaned by just using silver cleaning solution and it will shine just like new.

The watch also has a custom crown  - which one will not see on the ready-to-retail watches available on the Ochs und Junior website (It's from the Perpetual Calendar).

It's truly an exceptional timepiece - that combines simplicity, form and function in a elegant and practical way.
