Overview 

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore models are part of AP's more sportier and masculine version of the Royal Oak. Introduced in 1993 it was a hit amongst collectors, projecting a more modern version of a classic design.

This particular reference is the Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph Rubens Barrichello II in Titanium. It is a limited edition of 1000 pieces. Introduced in 2006, it was one of the earlier collaborations with F1 racing drivers. This was from an era when AP was collaborating regularly with racing teams and racing drivers. 

This particular reference was special - as it was the one of the earlier models spotting the 44mm design aesthetics which will only later be introduced in 2011. These included the nut shaped bezel screws, the sporty crown design, the flat ceramic buttons on the pushers - just to name a few. 

This reference is now discontinued and no longer produced.
