Audemars Piguet Royal Oak was introduced in 1972 - it was an iconic design by Gerald Genta - with its octagon shape case design, "tapisserie" pattern dial (which we learn to love) and integrated bracelet.
The Royal Oak Chronograph26240ST was introduced in 2022 for the 50th anniversary. These references were only made for 1 year with the 50th anniversary rotor. From 2023 onwards, the 26240ST produced reverted back the the 18KT-gold skeletonised rotor design.
The design on this new reference is cleaner and sharper. Note that the AP logo has been removed from prior designs.
This model reference is currently in production.
